Day 2: Commit Yourself to Time Alone with God

As women, each day we are pulled in a thousand different directions.  Everyone around you is demanding your time and attention approximately 99.9% of your day.  Well, maybe not that much but some days it can sure feel like it.  We do our best to make everyone around us thriving but normally we put ourselves on the bottom of the list and sadly God also finds himself there quite often.  We would all like to believe that we can skip out on our time with God and pick up where we left off.  Besides, he knows how much we have on our plate, right?  We need to ask ourselves if our earthly relationships would flourish if we didn't take the time to nurture them regularly? The answer will always be, no.  The same is true for our relationship with God.  He is ready to meet us where ever and when ever every single day.

I don't know about you but I'm ready to to get my priorities straight and set the tone for my day before I hit the ground running.  God is ready and waiting to bless each of us in this time we devote to him every day.  I can't wait to hear the creative oasis ideas.  Please share where and when will you be meeting with God each day?

Testing the comment section and replying to the post! I have taken my spare room and made it into my "Prayer Room" where I speak to God and do my devotions daily. I have a photo board of index cards with scripture I'm memorizing, my bible study guides, and beach and ocean accessories including a shell covered cross. I love this room and can't wait to get there every morning!

My place with God is my sitting room! Every morning between 5 and 6 I'm there to spend time with our Heavenly Father. I do have my bibles and devotional books too. After today's reading I'm going to be taking some things off the wall and redecorating! Oh, I also have a candle too!

I've turned a corner in the basement into my place.

I am placing my confidence in God that I will still get done with what I need to every morning (gym, etc) and still get to work on time. Anticipating this morning, I got a lot done last night that I normally wait to do in the morning, so feeling more effective already!

For now I will just continue to meet with God on my spot on the couch in the living room. If that proves too much in the middle of things, I'll have to think of another spot.

I am meeting God way earlier than I normally would, when the house is super quiet. This really helps me hear Him better. Already having a way more productive morning! Praise!

I've been really struggling this week trying to balance the kids being home from school, housework and my involvement in different things…so much so, that I just started the study today. God really spoke to me through Day 2 and reminded me that above ALL else, I need to continue my morning prayer and study with Him. I'm so tempted to sleep-in in the mornings because I don't have to get up, but so far that hasn't been working out too well for my spiritual health!!!

I will be making time for God in my crafting space at 5 am. This is completely separate from the rest of my family and will allow my time to be in God's presence.
