Day 17: Limit Your Sugar Intake
Good old self-control, it can ruin every and any area of our lives if we let it run free and follow our impulses. Together let's free ourselves of the gluttony that may hanging over our heads. But we know it won't be easy. Personally I live for the sweet treats, if it has sugar I can't say no. Over the years I have made a conscious choice not to keep soda in my house because I would drink it all. I probably should have the same rule regarding sweets and it would make my choices easier if I only had quality foods in my house. Our amazing God created some incredibly simple foods to help us be at our best at all times. Is there something you need to make a conscious choice not to bring into your kitchen and pantry?

Just like you, Sara, I do not keep soda in the house. I have decent self-control, but my husband does not and would drink 3 a day if it was an option for him. We have to know not only our weaknesses, but our family's too. I find it helpful to be on a strict budget when I grocery shop and it helps me focus on only buying items that are nutrient dense. I do love me some chocolate though and need a small fix everyday. I will pray about that:)
